Tea Cake with Apple

Apple Tea Cake

Sift into a Bowl:

1 Cup SR Flour
½ Cup White Sugar

Warm in a Saucepan: 

60g (2oz) Butter
½ Cup Milk
Natural Vanilla Essence


1.    Beat one Egg and add to Bowl
2.    Add Warmed liquid into Bowl
3.    Mix thoroughly by hand, until light and airy
4.    Line a 20cm cake tin with baking paper
5.    Transfer mixture into cake tin
6.    Peel and Slice 2 Green Apples
7.    Place Apple slices on top, lying down on their side
8.    Sprinkle Apple with Cinnamon and White Sugar to form a glaze
9.    Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30mins until Golden on top
